This train themed playground is located directly across the street from the train station and has a lot of unique features. Make sure to add this one to your list, especially if you have a train fanatic in your house!
The Sackville Kinsmen playground is directly adjacent to one of the most popular splash pads in the city. With the refreshed look and new design, it blends in nicely to the fun atmosphere and makes it a wonderful destination playground for residents all around the HRM.
This fall has seen several new playgrounds popping up around the city. I swung by one that recently opened in Clayton Park West last month and have all the details and photos of this new structure.
This wasn’t the playground we’d planned to go but it ended up being a fun little surprise adventure for us and this playground, while having stood the test of time and clearly well-loved, was still in great shape with lots of fun elements for the kids to enjoy.
This was definitely the most talked about playground of Summer 2018 in Halifax. I finally made it to visit it this fall and have all the details and lots of pictures to show you Halifax’s newest natural playground.
Without fail, whenever I ask for everyone to share their favourite playground on social media I can be sure someone will mention DJ Butler Playground in Rockingham. I've driven by this spot a thousand times when I worked at MSVU, but I have never been here. Read about my first impression and how it changed after spending some time in the space.
If you have a child who loves fire trucks, be sure to take them to the Fire Truck playground at the Gordon R Snow Community Centre in Fall River - it's literally right beside a fire station and it's not uncommon to get a glimpse of the fire trucks heading to a call, or just out for a wash.
The Dartmouth Crossing playground is such a clever idea. It can either be a motivator for kids to be patient during the shopping so they can play here after, or a spot for one parent to take the kids while the other parent does the shopping (I see a LOT of dads and kids here hmmmm). The theme of the playground is "Go Wild" and it's designed like it's in the wild with a climbing tree, a boat styled swing and photo props.
